In this weeks post I talk about is laser hair removal worth it? My review.
This is actually one of the topics I have been wanting to talk about for a long time.
If you do not follow my instagram, then you must not know that I get laser hair removal in my face.
Thanks to my dad (haha genetics) I have a lot of hair, and I have been very self conscious about my hair in my face for as long as I can remember.
I decided to do something about it a few years ago back in 2016, but I had to stop when I found out I was pregnant with my son.
Keep reading below for my honest review on laser hair removal.
Not Every Laser Hair Removal Place Is The Same
When I first started my laser hair removal journey, I looked at yelp reviews and decided on a place that was a few miles away from me.
At the time, I was young and just was excited for laser hair removal, and the reviews were good so I gave it a shot.
I went every month for a good couple of months and thought it looked okay, but now looking back at it I’m glad I stopped going,
If you are looking for a good laser hair removal place, look around.
Read reviews, their website, have a consultation, and see if you like them.
Looking back, I was not happy with the results. For going a couple of times, the results were just not there.
Plus, when the regular girl wasn’t there, another woman would come in and not listen to what I wanted.
Know the difference in the machines
This new place I am going to, I’m really happy with them.
Not only does the lady know what she is doing and answers every question, but she also explains the difference in machines.

Make sure if you are a darker skin tone and have darker hair, that they let you know they have the right machine for you.
There are some machines that are specifically for darker skin tones and darker hair, that’s the one you want and the one that will give you results.

How painful is it?
The most asked question for laser hair removal is, how painful is it?
What does it feel like? It feels like a rubber band hitting you, but not too painful in some areas.
Talking from experience, I’ve only had laser done in my face, and that’s more sensitive.
What helps is taking Advil before going and they use ice to help with pain before they start.
Also something I thought I should share, the previous place where I went to never told me to shave my face.
This new place tells everyone to shave their face before coming because it’s less painful.
If you are wondering, the most painful place even with ice and advil has to be the upper lip.
Other than that, it’s pretty tolerable, coming from someone who hates pain.
Is Laser Hair Removal Worth it? My Review

In all honesty, is laser hair removal worth it? I say, YES!
My skin has actually been looking much better and my skin tone is finally showing it’s true color.
Not just that, but I am so excited to actually be seeing results!
The hair is not growing back as much and as fast as before.
Having to use a hair trimmer and waxing is just not worth it. Trimming doesn’t do anything, and waxing not only is it painful, but you can get an allergic reaction to it, like me.
Also, makeup applies way more smoother and looks better on soft skin.
If you are in the LA area go to UIA Laser center in Woodland Hills, she will not disappoint you.
This is not sponsored by the way, it’s an honest review and I hope it helps someone who wants to know about laser.
