In this weeks post, I will be talking about what you should know about plus size diets.
This is a post that means a lot to me, and although everything that happened to me is 100% true, all bodies are different.
I hope that i can teach someone out there that dieting does not always mean healthy, and to talk to a nutritionist before going on any diet.
Remember that you are beautiful and to love your body and it is okay if you want to change your eating habits, but do it the right way.
This is what you should know about plus size diets, keep reading below.
Back in 2012, around September, I decided that I wanted to change and was so fixated on being more skinny.
It was back when I had just graduated high school and wanted a change, I was so self conscious with my body and hated the way I looked.
I decided to cut out everything, and I mean EVERYTHING.
To start off I cut out sugary drinks or any kind of drinks and just drank water all the time, I was eating salads for lunch and skipping breakfast or only eating 2 eggs.
My meals consisted of a small plate and water, and I worked out at home everyday for 1 hour straight.
It was great! or so I thought, I was losing weight and was starting to like how I looked.
People were starting to notice and family members were telling me how much prettier I looked than being fat.
I remember measuring my waist every single day because I was so fixated on just losing and being perfect.
It was around the end of January beginning of February when everything turned for the worse.
What started out as bloating, slight heartburn, and burning in my throat, turned into severe pain in the mouth of the stomach.
At that point I really thought I was about to die or something was going to happen to me and was rushed to the hospital.
That’s when I was diagnosed with gastritis, H. Pylori, and a whole lot of digestive issues.
In my mind, I thought how could this happen to me? I’m the healthiest I have ever been!
The Issues With Dieting
I went to a specialist for all the digestive issues I had and was told that what happened was my body went into straight shock.
Because when you cut out everything cold turkey, it is the worst thing you could do to your body.
It is okay if you want to diet and I’m not saying it’s bad, but do it right if you want to.
Instead of feeling healthy, I was given about 3 bottles of pills I had to take for gastritis, H. pylori, and acid reflux because the acid was burning my throat and could lead to more consequences when I get older.
Gastritis is something I would not wish even on my worst enemy. I think that’s how the saying goes.
Anyway, gastritis is a horrible thing to have, and if you do have it, you know what I am talking about.
When it flares up, it is one of the worst feelings, and you have to get a camera inside of you to make sure you do not get ulcers and it starts to bleed.
The reason why I wrote what you should know about plus size diets is because I want to help girls like me, plus size, not make the same mistake I made.
You can cause more harm than good if you do all these mistakes, and should be taken seriously.
Take it slow if you are thinking about eating a bit more healthier. Drink your water, eat your veggies, and don’t forget, you can still have that one indulgence you like once in a while.
Live your life, accept who you are, and you are beautiful, you don’t need to be what society thinks is beautiful.
